BHU MD/MS Ayurveda exam cancelled, Re-exam on Aug 4, 2013

VARANASI: The entrance examination of MD/MS, Faculty of Ayurveda, Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has been cancelled after a group of students raised their voice that the objective question paper of the examination was misleading and had the correct answers printed in light shade. According to director IMS Dr RG Singh, "It is probably the printing mistake and so a re-examination would now be conducted on August 4."

The question paper was printed in four sets in Hindi as well as English carrying 180 questions. According to students, each question had four options including one correct answer. The students have claimed that the correct answer was printed in light shade while rest of the paper was printed in black colour normally.

"This trend was visible in the English translation of the questions, since we answered most of the questions in Hindi, we could not notice the trend. After a while, during answering questions that required referring English translation, we caught the trend", informed a student.

After the examination, most of the students discussed about noticing the similar trend, they went to see the director of IMS, Dr RG Singh. Some students also staged sit-in-stir in front of vice chancellor's residence.
