Clinical Trials Registry-India (CTRI) Workshop at JAMNAGAR on 13th September 2013

About CTRI
The Clinical Trials Registry – India (CTRI) is a web based system (www.ctri.nic.in) for registering clinical trials in India and its neighbouring countries which are not having such facility. It was launched on 20th July 2007. It establishes, for the first time in India, an unbiased, scientific public record of clinical trials being conducted in the country which is freely available. It serves as a platform for registering all clinical trials on health products including drugs, devices, vaccines, herbal drugs etc. The CTRI is recognized as a Primary Register by the WHO and connected to the search portal of the International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (ICTRP). The objective of CTRI is to collect information on clinical trials undertaken in India and make this information available to the public.
The objective of the workshop is to create awareness about registration of clinical trials among new registrants in western region and disseminate information to various stakeholders (e.g. Medical Colleges and Research Institutions, Ethics Committees, Pharmaceuticals Industry etc) for smooth registration of clinical trials.
Target Audience: Clinical Researchers, trialist, Members of the Ethics Committee, representatives from Pharma industry, scientist interested in conducting Clinical Trials.
Application with one page CV should reach director-ctri@nic.in by 26th August 2013. Selection of participant will be based on screening by organizing committee and availability of seats. Selected participants will be informed via email by 31st August 2013. Trainfare for AC-II tier will be reimbursed to outstation participants. however, own arrangement for accommodation may be made by the participants, if needed.
